Shane Maxwell (He/ Him)

I’m a lead costume technician specializing in crafts, paint, and dye, currently based in Massachusetts.

Although my formal training is in Fashion Design, I’ve worked in costume for the performing arts for over a decade. While holding a few positions over my 11 years in the Boston Ballet Costume Shop, including Head of Crafts and Dye, I also completed 5 seasons at Santa Fe opera as dye assistant. I dedicate as much time as I can to my personal work, while also taking commissions. I was most recently a Soft Goods Lead at CJS workshop in Groton, MA, managing teams that fabricate all the fabric-related assets and overlays involved in building walk-around characters and puppets.
